Mr. A.D. Chambers, age 81, of Griffin passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Chambers was born on February 28, 1932 to the late James F. Chambers and the late Nellie Mae Mintz Chambers.
A.D. was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service to his country. He served during the Vietnam Conflict and the Korean War. A.D. also took great pride in his four grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife Sybil Chambers of Griffin; daughter and son-in-law, Faith and David Cooper; sons, Allen Chambers and Michael Chambers; grandchildren, Avery Chambers, Michael Chambers, Jr., Caroline Cooper, Kevin Cooper; and brother, Jimmy Chambers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m..
