Mrs. Agnes Marie Swanson, age 91 of Atlanta, GA passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
Mrs. Agnes Swanson was born on April 22, 1921 in Dalton, GA to the late Clara Bell McGinnis and the late Luther Mayes Henton. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, J.E. Swanson, Jr.; and brothers, Bill Henton, Gene Henton and Hugh Henton.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie (Herman) Ethridge, of McDonough, GA, Phyllis Jordan, of Thomaston, GA, Marcia (Harry) Jordan, of Alpharetta, GA; sons, David Swanson, of Atlanta, GA, Roland (Peggy) Swanson, of Barnesville, GA; sister, Gertrude Whaley, of Dalton, GA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Agnes Swanson will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA. Rev. Garth Foster and Rev. Lisa Landrum will officiate. Friends may visit the family Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
