Alfred Logan

January 25, 1954 — January 8, 2011

Mr. Alfred “Butch” Francis Logan, III, 56 of Kingsland, passed away early Saturday evening, January 8th, 2011 at the Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick Campus.
Mr. Logan was born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania on January 25th, 1954. He is the son of Alfred F. Logan, II and the late Patricia (Zimmerman) Irwin. A devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and dedicated son. Outwardly, Butch was seen as disabled, however those looking closer saw him as extraordinarily “abled”. He possessed the determination and strength to overcome the many adversities he faced and doing so with never a complaint and always a wink and a smile. He showed us that we could all be a little more tolerant, offer a little more kindness and most of all he possessed the drive to not only survive but to live.
Mr. Logan is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Deborah M. Logan of Kingsland; his daughter, Angie (Adams) Richard; son-in-law Lucas Richard of Hooversville, PA; his granchildren two year old Francis Richard and four year old Pierce Richard, his step-mother, Phyllis Logan of Honesdale, PA; his Aunt Joy and Uncle David Mankey of Fernandina Beach, FL; his Aunt Jane Zimmerman of Somerset, PA; and his Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Ed Bowman.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donation be made to the Camden County Humane Society.
The funeral ceremonies will be held in private.
