Mrs. Alida Connell Crocker, age 78, of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Crocker was born in Neal, GA on March 20, 1937 to the late Walter Connell and the late Fairy Kelley Connell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Crocker, brothers, Dean, Dennis and Donald Connell, and sister, Angie Curtis. Mrs. Crocker was a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin and the former owner of Crocker’s Cleaners and longtime employee of Waits Cleaners.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Bill Tench, and Laura Crocker and Buster Huckaby of Griffin; grandchildren, Matthew Cook of Griffin, and Courtney and Jim Bales of Okinawa, Japan; great grandchild, Grant Bales; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bill and Ronelle Peacher and Elizabeth Connell; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Alida Crocker will be conducted on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from noon until the service hour.
