Mrs. Annie Ruth Smith Lewis, age 72, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Griffin, GA on October 9, 1941 to the late Charlie B. Smith and the late Mary M. Hickman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby K. Lewis; sister, Gloria McGahee and Betty Jean Morgan. Mrs. Lewis was employed by the Griffin-Spalding County School System as a bus driver for 28 years.

Survivors include her sons, George Wesley Spratlin, Terry Eugene Lewis and Bobby Kenneth Lewis, Jr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Hazel and Danny Conkle and Frances Eppinger; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Smith; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Ruth Lewis will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Riley Fenley will officiate. Interment will follow in Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
