Atha Parker

Mrs. Atha Collier Parker, age 81, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mrs. Parker was born in Roanoke, Alabama, on April 10, 1933, to the late John Collier and the late Mary Ruby Milner Collier. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years Raymond Parker; daughters, Charlene Oliver and Denise P. Wilson, both of Griffin, GA,; son, Charles G. Parker and his wife Melinda of Griffin, GA: grandchildren, Thomas and Cassie Wilson, Lisa and Ulysses Gilbert, Jennifer Oliver, Chuck and Shannon Parker, Jonathan Parker and Tim Langston, and Matthew and Dori Parker; 11 great grandchildren ,1 great-great grandchild; brother William K. Collier and his wife Betty of Seminole, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Atha Collier Parker will be conducted on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Larry Ballard will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
