Mrs. Audrey Taylor Clark, age 82 of St. Marys, Ga. passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 13th, 2022.
Mrs. Clark was born on October 9th, 1939 in Gilbert, SC to the late AJ and Emily Taylor.
Audrey lived in St Marys for 63 years. She was publisher of The Camden County Tribune, owner of Camden Carpet and Paint. First Female Member, past President and Lieutenant Governer of the St Marys Kiwanis Club, Founder of Christmas for Camden Kids and the recipient of the 2007 Golden Eagle Award presented by The Boy Scouts of America. She was a trusted board member to numerous organzations including Camden House, Salvation Army, and the Department of Family and Children Services. She was an active member of her church serving as Church Council Chair, Staff Parish Relations, singing in the choir and a member of the United Methodist Womens Group.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, James Clark, Sr. of St. Marys, Ga.; her children, Kathryn (Steven) Page of Callahan, Fl. and Jay (Penny) Clark of Kingsland, Ga.; her grandchildren, Burt Lewis, Cody (Jordan) Lewis, Amanda Addy, Kaitlyn Addy, Peyton Clark, and Taylor Clark; her 6 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Kathy Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in passing by her daughter, Donna Lewis; her sons, Gary Addy and Dennis Addy; and her brother, Wayne Taylor.
A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, August 15th, 2022 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 at St. Marys First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Douylliez presiding. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga. Pallbearers will be members of the St. Marys Kiwanis Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Camden Alzheimer’s Project or St. Marys First Presbyterian Church.
