Barbara Cooper

Ms. Barbara Ann Cooper , age 72 of Saint Marys, Georgia passed away surrounded by family on the afternoon of Friday, September 29 th , 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl.
Ms. Cooper was born on July 6 th , 1945 in Brunswick, Ga. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Richard & Hattie Miller Cox. Barbara retired from a career with the Glynn County Detention Center and previously held positions with the Camden County Detention Center, and Union Carbide. In her early years, Barbara was a nurse in the Camden and Charlton County areas. Barbara enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and especially the holidays with her family. She will be lovingly remembered by family for her poetic writings and loyal dedication to family. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, John Cox and Alton (Betty) Cox; her sons, Billy (Dottie) Knight, Joseph (Amy) Knight and Bryan Cooper; her grandchildren, Jessica Knight, Shea Knight, Evan Knight, Matthew Knight, and Kallie Cooper; and her great grandchildren, Skyler & Kaidyn Knight.
Barbara will be remembered in a private family memorial to be held at a later date.
