Mrs. Barbara Noel Shivers

Mrs. Barbara Noel Shivers, age 84, of Griffin, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

Mrs. Shivers was born on September 23, 1931, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late James Wesley and Lucille Evans Noel. She was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Lanier Shivers.

Mrs. Shivers is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Susan Davis of Wildwood, Georgia, Jennifer Tatum and Lucian of Griffin, and Natalie Litavec and Doug of Madison, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law Matthew Paul Shivers and Wendy of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law Naomi Olson, Sherrie Couch, and Linda Merritt and Randy; brother and sister-in-law James Noel and Frances; and grandchildren Anna Jo Auerbach and her husband Jeremy, Colby Shivers, Kyle Shivers, Bianca Litavec, John Litavec and Elizabeth Litavec.

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Noel Shivers will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Ralph Simmons will officiate. Friends may visit with the family Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angels of Eternal Hope, 123 North Eighteenth Street, Griffin, Georgia, 30224, in memory of Mrs. Shivers.
