Mr. Benjamin C. Freeman, age 77 of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Christian Ministries Hospice in Riverdale.
Mr. Freeman was born on May 22, 1935 in Forsyth, GA to the late Luvin Guy Freeman and the late Ruby Mae Freeman. He was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Freeman and sisters, Geraldine Johnson and Margaret Underwood. He retired from Ford Motor Company after working 30 years in Quality Control. Mr. Freeman was a veteran having served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Freeman; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Freeman and Julie; sisters, Dorothy Jones, Frances Jones and Debra Glover; brothers, Lester Freeman and Melvin Freeman; grandchildren, Brent and Holland Freeman and B.J. Freeman; great-grandchildren, Kathleen Freeman, Trenton Freeman, and Madison Freeman.
Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin C. Freeman will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Killingsworth will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
