Her Children shared remembrances, Mom gave me a special gift growing up; she taught me about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the gospel.  She fostered a strong love of family.  She was strong and raised us six kids on her own a lot, as Dad was out in a boat for 6-9 months at a time in the Navy.  She loved animals and donated to the humane society.  She was generous and helped her kids out.  We were always able to “shop” in her pantry and was prompted once to generously help Jayson and I.  Mom was stubborn and did not budge on her beliefs, whether they were popular or not. - August Starmer

She had no filter and she let you know when she was happy with you and when she was disappointed. She loved all of her family so very much. If you needed something and she was able she would give it or help you get it. She enjoyed crocheting and playing games. Her favorite thing in the world was hearing about her children grandchildren, and great grandchildren. “Grandma grape” was so happy when any baby was born. - Leilani Tessman

Mom after working a 8 hour night shift. Drove all the way from work in Jacksonville to get Charlie and I from where we were living in South Carolina, to get us out of a horrible situation and drove back to her house. She didn't complain. Not once. - Molly Alice Dutton

Mom was very instrumental in ensuring her children and grandchildren are able to take care of themselves and their families. She helped install a strong work ethic that will be passed on to generations to come. - Joel Robert Dutton

I loved how goofy she was and at times made me laugh. - James Rex Dutton

Bonnie was raised in Midway, Utah. She participated in 4H, becoming a Bratzeli expert. She played saxophone in the Wasatch High School Band and Dixie College Jazz Band. -Mary Abbott

Bonnie Rae Slaughter Dutton a woman if you’ve ever met you were lucky but if she actually chose to carry conversation and to want to talk again meant you were even luckier and you passed the first test. My grandma was a quiet one until she wasn’t and the stories she would tell about the life she lived and the things she experienced were moments I’ll always treasure. Grandma was at her best with her family. If you look at these pictures her happiest are meeting her great grand babies. She treasured every life brought into this family and always spoke of how much grandpa would have loved it too. Family was her world what kept her grounded. She knew what wonderful children she raised and has said it to me many times and she talks of the amazing kids her kids raised and so on. She talked to me about how crazy life is and in a second all these moments we’ve all had as a family are a slideshow and it’s a happy slideshow. I miss her laugh so much already the laugh she would have telling the same story of sabastian wanting a hotdog on Thanksgiving or the laugh or telling a joke grandpa told her. She loved telling the little stories of her kids growing up and the moments that really stuck out and watching her grandkids become amazing adults and parents.

Grandma I know you’re in grandpas arms now the place you’ve wanted to be so for so long. You talked of missing his arms and his smile and his voice and I know in my heart you have that now. You are gone but while there is sadness…there is also so much peace… so much peace in knowing you have what you’ve wanted for so long with no pain. Having you as my grandma was nothing short of a blessing.

Rest in peace with grandpa, tell the other angels I said hello, I hope we continue to make you proud and I know you and grandpa are watching over all of us with smiles and so so so much love. Blessed are we to have known you Bonnie Rae Slaughter Dutton. My Grandma. 💗- Jade Sessions
