Carl Brazell

Mr. Carl Brazell , age 87 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away on May 23 rd , 2019 at the Warner Center Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach, Fl.



Mr. Brazell was born in Kingsland, Ga. on April 1 st , 1932. He is the son of the late John & Mary Brazell. He graduated from high school in 1951 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served from 1952 to 1956 aboard the USS Dixie (AD-14) and the USS Ozbourn (DD-846). Mr. Brazell retired from the Gilman Paper Company after 31 years of service. He was a hard worker his entire life. His family shared that he enjoyed traveling, gardening, carpentry, fishing, cooking and most of all, spending time with his loving family. He was a devoted and loving husband and father, and that he will be greatly missed by his family.



Mr. Brazell is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy L. Brazell; his children, Mary Margaret (Richard) Robinson of Fort Worth, Tx., and Connie Marie (David) Martinez of Fullerton, Ca.; his siblings, Francis (Dilbert) Kemp of Brazoria, Tx., Johnny (Johnnie) Brazell of Live Oak, Fl., Robert (Colleen) Brazell & Glenda (Rau’l) Vasquez all of Kingsland, Ga.; his sister in law, Gloria Brazell of Kingsland, Ga.; his brother in law, Don (Joan) Stangl & his sister in law, Shari Stangl all of Marshfield, Wi.; and his numerous nieces & nephews.



He was predeceased by his daughter, Cathy Brazell and his brother, Alfred Brazell.



A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 31 st , 2019 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga.  The family will receive friends and loved ones 30 minutes prior to the service. The interment of Mr. Brazell to his rest will be held privately by the family.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the church or charity of their choice in Mr. Brazell’s honor.
