Carl Shedd

Mr. Carl Lewis Shedd , age 57, was received into the arms of Jesus, Monday, June 1, 2015 at his home in St. Marys, GA, after a courageous battle with his health.
Mr. Shedd was born June 21, 1957 in Habersham County, Georgia to Margaret Shedd and the late Rev. Willie “JD” Shedd.
His family said of him, “Carl loved to spend time in the woods, hunting, on the water, fishing, or just spending time with family and friends. He could sit and talk to anyone, and never met a stranger. His love for Christ was very well expressed to everyone he met! He made sure everyone in his path knew the love of Christ and that God would be returning soon! He wanted to make sure everyone was saved and ready to meet him someday at the gates of Heaven when God called. Carl touched the lives of many people. He was a true one of a kind man that will never be forgotten!”
Mr. Shedd is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Shedd of St. Marys; his daughter, Amanda (Jack) Richardson, of Kingsland, GA; his sister, Judy (Bobby) Rapor, of Thomasville, GA; his brothers, Harold (Wanda) Shedd of Kingsland, GA, and Roger (Debra) Shedd of Martin, GA; and his grandchildren, Trey Walker Richardson and Tyler Lewis Richardson.
Calling hours for Mr. Shedd will be from 4 PM to 5:30 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 6 PM in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, GA with Pastor Verdell Griffin presiding. Pallbearers will be Bruce Funderburk, Rusty Spikes, Dr. Jim Burnham, Tyler & Trey Richardson and Perry Howard.
