Celia Bruce

Ms. Celia Annette Bruce , age 59 quietly slipped into the Lord’s arms in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at the Warner Center Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach, Fl.
Ms. Bruce stepped into time in Brunswick, Ga. on December 4th, 1956. She is the only daughter of the late Theodore Wayne & Jessie Keys Bruce. Ms. Bruce attended White Oak Elementary and later graduated from Camden County High School in 1976, where her class voted her ‘Most Bashful’. During her working life, Ms. Bruce worked with the Georgia Forestry Service as a Tower Watchman for 15 years. Starting in late 1992, Ms. Bruce worked for the Camden County Board of Education as a school bus driver and served for 23 years. She was very protective of the special needs children under her care on her bus. She was a faithful member of the Agape Christian Fellowship Church in St. Marys, Ga., where she loved to attend with her family and friends. Her family and friends spoke of the beautiful smile she would greet you with, her loving and caring ways, her soft spokeness, her being a devoted daughter and sister, and her love of children. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Bruce leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Erwin Bruce; her devoted cousins, Debra Miller King and Lindy Miller Carter; her adopted children, Christopher Eddinger & Jennifer Tucker; her lifelong friends, Brenda Eddinger & Donna Faye Calhoun; and her dedicated friends, Barbara Davis, Rhonda Raines and many other of the bus drivers from over the years.
Besides her parents, Ms. Bruce joins her, brothers, Tommy Jean & Marcus Wayne Bruce, and her nephew, Tyler Bruce in Heaven.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, February 7th, 2015 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 8th, 2015 at Agape Christian Fellowship Church at 10600 Colerain Rd, St Marys, GA. with Pastor Jonny Rodgers presiding. Interment and committal prayers will follow the service at Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Ga.
