Mr. Charles Morgan Cox, Jr., age 74, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 at his home in St. Marys, Ga.
Mr. Cox was born on December 16th, 1949 in Folkston, Ga. to the late Charles Morgan Cox, Sr. and Anna Jo Ward.
Charles was a dedicated serviceman, father, grandfather, and brother. His family came first to him, and his main love in life was his grandchildren. Bentley and Kenna were the light of his life, and his goal was to meet Everly. He was especially close to his own family, his sisters being an integral part of his daily life, and who he came to depend on. His sense of humor, candor, and optimism will be missed by all. His peace has been earned though and we know he is resting well now.
Mr. Cox is survived by his children, Kami (Paul) Turner of Dayton, Tn., Lyndsay (Michael) Thompson of Tampa, Fl., and Christopher Cox of Ca.; his sisters, Joyce Mae Rooks of Waynesville, Ga., Mildred Cox, Mary Riggins, and Carolyn Wright, all of St. Marys, Ga; his brother, Lawrence (Gail) McKinney of Houston, Tx.; his grandchildren, Kenna Turner, Bentley Martin, and Everly Thompson; his great uncle, Colquitt Cox; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, Mr. Cox was also preceded in death by his sister, Eveyln Cox.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, December 13th, 2024 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Graveside Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 14th, 2024 in Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. with Dr. Don Belcher presiding.
