Charles Hunter

Mr. Charles Michael “Mike” Hunter , age 56 of the Browntown community in Kingsland, Ga. passed away at his residence Wednesday morning, July 10th, 2013.
Mr. Hunter was born on July 29th, 1956 in Savannah, Ga. He is the son of Verna Elizabeth Adams Hunter and the late Charles Clark Hunter, Jr. Mr. Hunter was a graduate of Camden County High School in 1994 and lived most of his life in Saint Marys, Ga. Mike loved to travel and go camping with his family. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. For a time Mike worked at Gilman Paper Company in Saint Marys, but later found his calling in carpentry work. He had a passion for building and remodeling. Mike enjoyed making people laugh and never met a stranger. Mike’s hero was John Wayne and he could tell you about all of his movies. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him best.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his mother, Mrs. Verna Hunter of St. Marys; his sister and her husband, Kathy and Sammie Spradley of Folkston; his brother, David Hunter of Browntown; his niece and her husband, Ginger and Eustace Griffin; and his great nieces, Joelee and Karis Griffin all of Mershon, Ga.
Calling hours for the Hunter family will be from 2 to 3:45 PM Saturday, July 13th, 2013 in the Wainwright Chapel of the Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 4 PM with Pastor Sammy Spradley presiding.
