Mr. Charles Lenwood Miller, Jr. age 77 of Woodbine, Ga. passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 6 th , 2018 at home with his family by his side.
Mr. Miller is a native of Camden County. He was born in Woodbine on January 23 rd , 1941. He is the son of the late Charles L. Miller, Sr. & Marion Sarah Strickland Miller. Mr. Miller worked at Kraft Bag Paper Company in St. Marys, Ga. for 10 years. He then went to work at Thiokol Chemical Plant in Woodbine, Ga. and worked there until just after the explosion on February 3 rd , 1971. He took a job as caretaker of Waverly Woods Plantation until he retired. Mr. Miller was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Miller is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Shelley R. Miller; his son, Marvin Miller of Harriett’s Bluff/Woodbine, Ga.; his daughters, Rachael Drury of Dover Bluff/Waverly, Ga., Mary Ann Thompson, Marion Clark and Lesley Hall all of Woodbine, Ga.; his sisters, Freda Hart of Waverly, Ga. and Evelyn Brantley of Woodbine, Ga.; his 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Calling hours for the Miller family will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Saturday, September 8 th , 2018 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga.
