Mr. Charles “Wayne” Phillips, age 75, of Barnesville, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Phillips was born on October 9, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Bryant Lum and Opal Turner Phillips.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife Betty Phillips; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Terry Laine; son Charles Jeff Phillips; grandchildren, Randa and Cliff Vaughn, Cody Perry, Kayleigh Perry, Chelsea Phillips and Dylan Phillips; great grandchildren Ethan and Evan Vaughn; uncle Emory Phillip; and beloved dog, Baby.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles “Wayne” Phillips will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family Friday morning for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
