MTCS (SS) Christopher Alan Chandler was born on August 10th, 1983 in Madison, TN and passed away on November 13th, 2025. Chris is survived by his children Hannah Chandler, Kendall Rodriguez (Rigo), Cameron Chandler, Peyton Chandler and Ethan Chandler. He is also survived by his father Michael Flansburg (Christy) and his mother Stephanie Bean, and his siblings Dustin Chandler, Gabriella Green (Lucas) and Robert Flansburg and he was "Pop Pop" to Ellaina Rodriguez and Sebastian Rodriguez. Left to cherish his memory also are his closest friends Jeremy and Tina Stebenne and his girlfriend Jeny Porrata - Berrios.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bob and Wanda Flansburg and his Maternal grandparents Billy Hugh Bean and Alice Faye Midgett Bean, as well as his brother Jeffery Flansburg.
Chris was a Missile Tech and served his country proudly for 24 years and 26 days in the United States Navy. He achieved multiple awards during his military career, and retired July 31st, 2025. Chris will be deeply missed by his family and many friends and ship mates and the many people he served with in his Naval Career. Chris was a lover of his vehicles and the beach and will be remembered for the many jokes he told as well as for his love of cooking on the grill and playing cornhole. However, the one thing that will be missed the most by everyone will be the unconditional love that he had for his children, his family and his friends.
Chris was a loyal father and friend to many people and he held a special place in the hearts of everyone he met. He never let another man down and his word was his bond and everyone who knew Chris knew they could always depend on him for whatever they needed,
Visitation with the family will be held at Coastal Camden County Funeral Home 935 East King Avenue, Kingsland GA 31548 on Friday November 21st from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service with full military honors will be Saturday November 22nd at 3pm at the VFW Post 8385 150 Camden Woods Parkway East, Kingsland, GA 31548. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with the cost of funeral expenses.
