Clara Strickland

Mrs. Clara Edna Strickland , age 93, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 26, 2015 at her residence in Kingsland, Ga.
Mrs. Strickland was born on May 20, 1921 in Brantley County, Ga. to the late Josh and Lizzie Crews. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and gardening, cooking, family get-togethers, and hymns. She was an avid Christian and loved her Lord and her church, The Harbor Worship Center, and was a charter member there.
Mrs. Strickland is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Jimmie) Snipes of Kingsland, Ga.; her sons, James (Beatrice) Strickland, Parnell Strickland, Edward Strickland, and Bobby (Kathy) Strickland, all of Kingsland, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Owen L. Strickland, her daughter, Carolyn Southwell Waters, her grandson, Brian Strickland, and her numerous brothers and sisters.
Calling hours for Mrs. Strickland will be from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at The Harbor Worship Center in Kingsland, Ga. A funeral service will be held at the Harbor Worship Center at 11 am on Thursday, January 29, 2015 with Reverend Mike Sanes presiding. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Snipes, David Snipes, Chris Strickland, Darell Southwell, Ray Hawkins, Chuck O’ Rourke, and Rob Wilkins.
