Claude "Buddy" Miller

Mr. Claude L. Miller, III, 73 of Woodbine, Ga, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 21st, 2024. He was born June 3, 1950 in Folkston, Ga to the late Claude Miller, Jr and Bobbie R. Sikes Miller.

Buddy was a loving Daddy and Papa to his grandchildren. He and his late wife, Macy H. Miller of 46yrs, created a life together in Woodbine, Ga. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Woodbine, Ga. He served as the Woodbine Police Chief for several years, as well as a Woodbine Volunteer Firefighter for over 10 years. He devoted over 30yrs with Union Carbide, retiring after the company sold to Bayer Crop Science. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his family, whether it be to Daytona Beach, the mountains or his new love of cruising the open seas.

He was an avid Nascar fan and on race day you would find him cheering on his favorite driver Darrell Waltrip. When he wasn’t watching his favorite race car driver, he would be cheering on the Atlanta Braves during baseball season. During football season, you would find him sitting in the stands cheering on the Camden Wildcats and making sure he made no plans during the Georgia Bulldog games.

Buddy is survived by his children, Jody and Amanda Miller of St. Marys, Ga, Erik and Jenniffer Miller of Kingsland, Ga; grandchildren, Kenzie,Jacob and Addison of St. Marys, Keegan, Kaiden and Kendal of Kingsland, Ga; brother, Jim and Penny Miller of Woodbine, Ga; sister, Charmaine and David Toliver of St Marys, Ga; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Macy H. Miller; parents, Claude L. Miller, Jr and Bobbie R. Sikes Miller; sister, Virginia “Ginny” R. Miller.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24th, 2024 from 5p-7p at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral services will be Monday, March 25th, 2024 @ 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Woodbine, Ga. with Dr. Boyette and Brett Prince officiating. Interment will follow at Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Ga.

Pallbearers are Stephen O’Neal, Devon Carter, Joshua Keller, Dave Toliver, Francis Ludwig and Bobby Troupe.
