Claude Salter

Mr. Claude R. Salter, age 89, of Griffin, GA passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, GA.

Mr. Salter was born in Winnsboro, SC to the late Ben Salter and the late Sarah Sanders Salter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Johnson Salter; brother, Joseph Griffin and sisters; Mary Sanders and Ruth Cheek. Mr. Salter retired from the Spalding County Collection Center where he worked as a collections attendant and attended Forsyth Congregational Holiness Church.
Mr. Salter is survived by a cousin, Vivian Youghn of Forsyth, GA and special friends, Ronnie and Dorothy Gregory of Griffin, GA.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Claude R. Salter will be conducted on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Danny Parker will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
