Clinton Horne

Mr. Clinton “Clint” Ray Horne , age 55 of the Billyville Road community in Woodbine, Ga. passed away into the arms of Jesus at his residence, in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 6, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Horne was born in Folkston, Ga. on October 3, 1959. He is the son of Helen Patricia McKenney Tanner and the late Glynn Horne.
His family said of him, “Clint earned a living as a drywall professional for years before becoming a cook at Waffle House. He was a hard worker who was well loved by his coworkers. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his Chihuahuas. He was a man without pretense and of a generous heart. He lived life and loved others without reserve. He was a dependable and trustworthy friend. As a brother and son, he was greatly admired, loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.”
Mr. Horne is survived by his beloved mother, Helen P. Tanner of Woodbine, Ga., his sister and her spouse, Carol T. & Vearl Bailey of Woodbine, Ga., his brothers and their spouses, Norman & Kathy Tanner of Clinton, Tn., David & Pamela Tanner of Hortense, Ga., Brian & Kelly Tanner of Brunswick, Ga. and Shannon Tanner of Woodbine, Ga.
Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mildred McKenney, “Nanny.”
Graveside services for Mr. Horne will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. with Pastor Chris Ogden presiding. Pall bearers will be Norman Tanner, David Tanner, Vearl Bailey, Kenneth Finney, Herbert ‘Buddy’ McKenney and Garrett Tanner. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Waffle House of Kingsland.
