Clyde “CL” Lawrence Daniels age 72 passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, August 4th, 2023, at his home in Woodbine, Georgia. Mr. Daniels was born on February 17th, 1951, in White Oak, Georgia to the late Wiley Harrison Daniels, Sr and Ollie Ree Beckham Daniels. Mr. Daniels was one of 9 children. He was a Christian and knew His Lord.
Mr. Daniels is preceded in death by his parents Wiley and Ollie Daniels, a granddaughter, Brittney Daniels, his siblings, Annie Moore, Mary Daniels, Ellen Chavis and Joe Bill Daniels.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Karen Rawl Daniels, His children, Darrell Daniels of Waverly, a daughter, Dana Moody of Hortense, a daughter Laura (Jessie) Anderson of Woodbine and a son Michael (Brittney) Cottle of St. Marys. Grandchildren Branden Nuhfer, Cierra Moody, Eric Pearson, Karleigh Daniels, Emaleigh Anderson, Dillon Cottle Delaney Cottle, Great grandchildren Kholtrain Simons and Baby Girl Daniels.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his siblings, Wiley Daniels of Woodbine, Freddie Clemons of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Russell Daniels of Waynesville, Ga. Alice (Charles)Anderson of Midville, Ga., sister-in-law Debbie Daniels of Waynesville and bother-in -law Herman Moore of Summertown, Georgia and a host of other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He also leaves his faithful little dog companions, Cooper and Rosie and Fluffy the kitty,
Mr. Daniels loved working with his hands in his garden, his citrus trees and plants. He had a green thumb and could grow anything. He loved to fish and in past years loved to hunt. He enjoyed telling people how to grow things and his step-by-step methods of doing so. He recently took up the hobby of grafting plants and had become very successful in starting new plants. He shared many plants with so many people. He took pride in his yard and all his beautiful plants.
He retired from Ga Pacific 2 and half years ago and had enjoyed being the outdoor person he was made to be. He was a BIG fan of old cowboy programs, especially Gunsmoke, Wells Fargo and of course Walker, Texas Ranger. He was also the in-house weatherman.
A visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. Graveside Services will follow at 11 am with Pastor Jan Conner presiding. Rev. Eddie Rawl will offer prayer. Darrell Daniels, Jessie Anderson, Michael Cottle, Jess Anderson, Charles Anderson and Lewis Anderson, Jr. will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Crews, Ricky Kidd, Jack Bowen, Boston Crum, Billy Knight and Arthur McDowell and Sam Melton.
