Dale Somers

Mr. Dale Robert Somers , Sr., age 57, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, January 2 nd , 2019 surrounded by his family at his home in Kingsland, Ga.



Mr. Somers was born on October 2 nd , 1961
in Tucson, Az. to the late George and Patricia Somers. Mr. Somers was in the US
Air Force from 1980 to 1995. After serving, he was employed by Lockheed Martin,
where he was a senior missile mechanic for the last 11 years.



Dale was probably best known for being the kind of
man that was always ready to go the extra distance to help another person;
whether they were a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or even a stranger. He
was a quiet, kind, and gentle giant with a loving and deeply sweet spirit. He was
a selfless person, who was truly loved by everyone who knew him.



Mr. Somers is survived by his beloved wife, Moreigh “Seana” Somers, of Kingsland, Ga.; his daughters, Rachael (Nicholas) Allison, Mary-Kathryn Edmiston, and Victoria (Dean) Edmiston-Kessler, all of Pa.; his sons, Dale (Sabine) Somers, Jr. of Pa., Robert (Tracy) Somers of Tx., and Ian Moore of Japan (Air Force); his sister, Bernice (Rafel) Torrez of Or.; his brothers, Don (Linda) Somers of Az., Dave (Bonnie) Somers of Az., Daniel Somers of Or., and Dr. Douglas (Sharon) Somers of Ia.; and his 13 grandchildren.



A memorial service for Mr. Somers will be held at 3
pm on Sunday, January 6 th , 2019 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland,
Ga. with Pastor Steven Buchholz presiding.
