Dante Asci

April 12, 1929 — March 11, 2014

“Don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow never comes. When you wake up in the morning it is today again.” – Dante V. Asci

Dante Valentino Asci was born April 12, 1929 in Malden, Mass. After serving four years in the Navy, he attended Boston University on the GI bill. He retired from Northeast/Delta Airlines after thirty years of service.
It is rare in life to meet someone who impacts every single person they meet, whether it is just for one moment or for a lifetime. Dante Valentino Asci was that person. He exuded joy and happiness, and people were naturally drawn to him, and he was drawn to them. He lived his life as if each day was a gift, each new person he met was a friend, and each moment was to be appreciated and celebrated. For Dante, being a husband and father was his most important job on earth, and he was extraordinary at both. His kindness and compassion to others, no matter who they were, are just some of the great legacies he leaves for his family. He was the happiest man in the world, and it took so little for him to maintain that happiness. For Dante, happiness was simply a beautiful day on the golf course, time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends, great food of any kind, good conversation and laughter. His life touched and taught not only his family but every single person he came in contact with, no matter how brief a time. His was indeed a life well-lived. We can't imagine the world without his bright little light, but we will honor him by speaking his name often, and always with love, by practicing the kindness and compassion he taught us, and by never taking one moment on this earth for granted. We stand together as a family thankful to have had his guidance, patience, and ever-lasting love. He will never be forgotten, and will live on in each of us.

“My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.” Clarence B. Kelland
