Mr. David William Ducheneau, age 64, passed away on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at his home in Kingsland, Ga.
Mr. Ducheneau was born on March 20th, 1956 in Lawrence, Ma. to the late Francis A., Jr. and Mary Ducheneau.
Dave loved sports of all kinds. He was an athlete in school at the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School, excelling in track and basketball. After graduation, he continued working at the school coaching and assisting in many sports while also coaching many teams in the community. He met many professional athletes in his early years including, Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox and Gerry Cheevers of the Boston Bruins, among others. He was an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams his entire life. He also enjoyed spending time at Foxwoods Casino and Mohican Sun.
Among his many jobs he worked at Merrimack Valley Guard Service where he met and fell in love with his girlfriend of 20 years, Diane Casey. Together they resided in Massachusetts and Georgia He will be sorely missed by Diane and her sons, Shaun, Bryan, and Justin Casey to whom he gave advice and guidance over the years. He will also be missed by his many friends in both Massachusetts and Georgia, especially his dear friend, Patricia McCormack who was a blessing to him in his final weeks of life.
Mr. Ducheneau is survived by his girlfriend, Diane Casey, of Kingsland, Ga. and his brothers, Paul and Shawn of Massachusetts.
Besides his parents, he joins his sister, Ruth D. Bedard in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held privately by the family.
