Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Ann Thrift Outlaw, age 68, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Mrs. Outlaw was born on April 14, 1956 in Fernandina Beach, Fl. to Joe Thrift and the late Annette Thrift.
Debbie was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She worked for many years in the baby room at Miss Julie’s House. She had a specialconnection with each child that was placed in her room. You could always find her with her shoes off on the floor playing with, reading to, or singing with her babies.
Debbie loved to travel. You could always find her sitting on the balcony of her stateroom while cruising the Caribbean. She loved going to Orlando and spending time with her family at amusement parks in Orlando. She never passed up a good roller coaster.
Mrs. Outlaw was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Outlaw, mother, Annette Thrift, and brother, Joey Thrift. She is survived by her children, Heather (Darrell) Vanzant of White Oak, Ga and James (Ami) Outlaw of St. Marys, Ga; her sisters, Tina (Glenn) Gilmore and Roxanne (Ralph) Nantze; her grandchildren, Hayden Outlaw, Brooke Vanzant, Camden Outlaw, Hunter Vanzant, Melodi Outlaw and Lia Outlaw; along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Monday, May 6th, 2024 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. A graveside service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga with Pastor James Roberson presiding.
