Mrs. Della C. Durham, age 60, of Meansville, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Durham was born in Thomaston, GA on March 31, 1957 to the late Jack Lincoln Ard and the late Abertina Matthews Ard. She was the 13th child out of her 15 siblings. Mrs. Durham was medically retired from the U.S. Postal service where she worked as a mail carrier. She was a member of Vega Community Church in Meansville. She battled cancer for 23 years, but through her love and faith of Christ she enjoyed, loved and lived every day to the fullest.
Mrs. Durham is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ben Durham; sons and daughters-in-law, Davie and Johna Garner, Matt Garner, Dexter and Jessica Garner, and Gary and Taisha Garner; and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Della C. Durham will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Vega Community Church. Reverend Ken Horton will officiate. Interment will follow in Fincher Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
