It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Diana Clarke, born August 7th, 1945 and gone from us far too soon on July 27th, 2023. She was a beloved Mama, Granni, G.G., and Sister.
She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Jennifer “Starr” and Joseph Hakes; three grandchildren, Joseph Hakes, Jr., Katherine Hakes, and Kaitlyn Oliveira and her husband, Mark; five great-grandchildren, Adalynn Oliveira, J.T. Oliveira, Joseph “Michael” Hakes, III, Damon Hakes, and Connor Hakes, all residing in Camden County, Ga.; her brother, Robert Martin, Jr. residing in Twain Harte, Ca.; and nieces, Rachel Stull and Maya Martin.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Virginia Martin.
She loved and treasured her family and spending time with them more than anything else.
Diana loved the outdoors, especially forests and the mountains. She passed that on to her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and was rarely without a book nearby. She had extended/chosen family that she loved very much.
She will always be missed and will forever be in our hearts.
