Donald C. Bennett , 57, of St. Marys passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 1st, 2010 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick Campus.
Mr. Bennett was born in Cayce, SC on February 23rd, 1957 to the late Robert Gordon and Helen Crystal Cade Bennett.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Lundy Bennett of St. Marys; his children, Kelly Marie (Joshua) Ross of Savannah, Becky Ann (Lucas) Gowen of Folkston,, Donald Cade (Kristen) Bennett of St. Marys, James “Kyle” Bennett of St. Marys, and Christopher Lundy (Melissa) Luckenbill of Jacksonville, FL.; his sisters, Annelle Crystal Baragona of Slidell, LA. and Anita Louise (Robert) Luckenbill of Kingsland; and his five grandchildren; Donald Cade “Tripp” Bennett III, Hannah Marie Bennett, Reese Luckenbill, Wyatt Luckenbill and Kimbree Gowen. Besides his parents, Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gordon Bennett, Jr.
A memorial service was held at 6pm Friday, July 2nd, 2010 at Crooked River Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Hamilton presiding.
