Mrs. Doris H. “Bo” Bryant age 89 of Williamson, GA passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her residence.

Bo was born on November 19, 1923 in Chickamauga, GA to the late Grady Franklin Bohanon and the late Ella Ola Hixon as the only daughter of six children. She graduated from Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga in 1941 and later moved to Chattanooga to work in food brokerage. While employed at a local physician’s office, she met her future husband, William E. “Bill” Bryant. They were married November 30, 1950 at Elizabeth Lee UMC in Chickamauga. While employed at a men’s fine clothing store, Bo gave birth to her son, William F. Bryant. After moving to Jacksonville due to a transfer within her husband’s company, CarPark, Bo began working alongside her husband. While in Jacksonville, her daughter, Cara Ella was born. In 1969, Bill was transferred to System Parking and the family relocated to Tucker. There, Bo began a 17 year career with Premier Industrial Corp. until her first retirement. She then spent 17 years as an independent consultant with Tiara Glass and was ranked 5th in the nation in personal sales. During her son and daughter’s childhood, she was a Cub Scout Leader and also, a Girl Scout Leader. She was particularly proud of the 12 years that she was involved in Girl Scouts. Following her time as a Girl Scout Leader, she and husband Bill, led a High Adventure Explorer Post. Bo was widowed in 2001. Shortly after, she enjoyed many hours employed as a cook at a local day care. Bo was an active member of Elizabeth Lee UMC until transferring membership to Centenary UMC in Chattanooga. She was also actively involved with the Family Night dinner ministry at Lawrenceville UMC in Tucker, where she worked alongside her best friend and cousin Evelyn Lee.
Her last years were spent residing with her son and daughter-in-law in Griffin and keeping in touch with her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Before her passing, Bo was eagerly anticipating the impending birth of her first great-grandson. During her long, full life, Bo enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially visiting with her extended family of siblings, in-law, nieces, nephews, and their many children on both the Bohanon and Bryant sides of the family. Survivors include daughter, Cara Bryant; son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” Bryant and Debby Daniel-Bryant; grandchildren, Sarah B. Roberts (Bryant), Rachel Bryant (David Pack), Leah Bryant, Christopher Kamishlian, Cody Jordan, Megan Jordan, Cameron Jordan, Joshua Kelley; great-grandchild, Alexandria Lambert and brother, Bob Frank Bohanon.
