Dorothy Monak

Ms. Dorothy Mae Jarrett Monak , age 76 of the Temple Church Road Community in Kingsland, GA passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA.
Ms. Monak was born on August 27th, 1940 in Holtville, AL to the late Ernest Jarrett and Dixie Pauline Letlow.
Her family said of her, Dorothy went to nursing school to work at the hospital in Florida helping young girls giving birth. She then went on to work for Fathers Percell working with exceptional children and working with children with physical disabilities. Finally she retired with Rheem manufacturing company. She was a wonderful “Nanny” to her grandkids that she just adored and spoiled to death. I never knew of anyone that didn’t like my mother for she was the most loving and giving person in the world with a heart of GOLD! She was not prejudice in any way at all for she had friends of all races. The people that worked with her for years will tell you this. She raised other children as well over the years and loved them as her own. After losing her husband at the age of 27, “Victim” from the Thiokol explosion in 1971, to raising my brother and I by herself. She was a wonderful mother, best-friend, wife, sister, friend, aunt that will be missed so very much. My mother was loved by everyone, an Angel from heaven, who is in Paradise now with her savior Jesus Christ. There will never be a day that goes by that we won’t miss our little Angel, Dottie.
Ms. Monak is survived by her daughter, Terria Monay of Kingsland, GA; her son, Ricky Culver of Kingsland, GA; her sister, Peggy Ann Lewis of Richmond Hill, GA; her brothers, Charles Jarrett and Donald Lee Jarrett, both of Kingsland, GA; and her grandchildren, Brittany Renae` Largen (Jeremy) of Shelbyville, KY and Darrell Paul Puckett of Montgomery, AL.
Besides her parents, Ms. Monak joins her husband, Charles Thomas Monak in Heaven.
