Dorothy “Dotty” Jo Ryder, age 46 of Folkston, Ga. passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015.
Dotty was born August 28th, 1969 in Adak Naval Station, Alaska. She is the daughter of the late Ruth Corine Hayward Ryder & David William Ryder.
Dotty was a loving mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved reading books and scratching lotto tickets with her best friend. She lived in Buffalo, NY and went on to Groton, CT where she graduated from Fitch Senior High School. She was a shift supervisor at CVS in Groton for 13 years. She will be greatly missed.
Dotty is survived by her daughter, Vanasah Ryder of Folkston, Ga., her son, Zachery Ryder of Ridgeview, Cn., her brothers, Steven Ryder of Folkston, Ga. and Gary John Ryder of Buffalo, NY; her grandchildren, Domani & Sky Ryder; and her niece and nephews, Jonathan Ryder, Samantha Ryder, Steven Ryder, Bryan Ryder and Nicole Ryder. Besides her parents, Dotty is preceded in passing by her brother, Rodney Andrew Ryder.
A celebration of Dotty’s life will be held at 5 PM, Wednesday November 11th, 2015 at Ruhamah Baptist Church on Hwy 40 West in Kingsland, Ga. Pastor Alan Brown will preside.
