Douglas Peeples

Mr. Douglas Steven Peeples , 55, of St. Marys, Ga. passed away into the arms of Jesus at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Tuesday May 25, 2010.
Mr. Peeples is a native of Norfolk County, Virginia. He was born in Portsmith on September 29, 1954. He is the son of the late Cecil David and Pearl Eva Reynolds Peeples. Mr. Peeples was the successful co-owner of Technology Assurance Research Lab in Orlando, Florida. Many people remember “Doug” and his wife when he owned Sneaky Pete’s Restaurant in St. Marys, Georgia. His family will love and miss him greatly, as he was their hero.
Mr. Peeples is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Diana L. Peeples, of St. Marys; his children, Lois (Jim) Flaherty of St. Marys and Douglas S. Peeples Jr. and his fiancé Kelley Sonnenberg of De Pere, WI; his brothers, David (Clara) Peeples of Dunedin, FL and Mitchell Peeples of Melbourne, FL; his grandchildren, Justin Tomlinson Sr., Christina (Tim) DeLong, and Mason & Scott Peeples; his great-grandchildren, Justin Tomlinson Jr. and Olivia DeLong; a sister-in-law Carolyn Asaro, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Peeples was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Arnold; and his grandson, Steven Peeples.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday May 28th 2010 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at the Brazell-Peeples Cemetery in Kingsland with Pastor Jim Johnson presiding.
