Mr. Eddie B. Crawley, age 85, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Monday May 9, 2016 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.
He was born on October 30, 1930 in Hollonville, GA to the late Mr. and Mrs. William (Claudia) Crawley. He was also preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Crawley; son Bennie C. Smith; sisters, Lillian Cheeves, Eunice Parks, and Mary Lois Johnson; and brothers, Willie Lee Crawley, Bobby Crawley and Milton
Crawley.
He was employed at Overnite Transportation in Atlanta, GA for several years before he retired. He enjoyed gardening, planting vegetables, and seeing and talking with family and friends. He never met a stranger.
He leaves to cherish in loving memories daughters, Margie Spencer, Betty Powell, Peggy Crawley, Mary Crawley, and Claudia Crawley; sons, Eddie Crawley, Jr., and Willie F. Crawley; sisters, Claudine Adams and Lillie Opal Crawley; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and a special friend Annie Haynes.
A funeral service for Mr. Eddie B. Crawley, Sr. will be held Friday, May 13 2016 at 11:00 am. at the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Henry Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
