Erlene Fulmer

Erlene Peeples Fulmer, 98, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Oxford, Mississippi. The graveside service celebrating her life will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Lawnwood Cemetery (Scrubby Bluff Road Kingsland, Georgia 31548). Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of local arrangements.

Erlene, one of the eight children of George and Annie Peeples, was born on December 12, 1923 in Kingsland, Georgia. Mrs. Erlene worked as a Real Estate Agent for 10 years in Jacksonville, Florida, where she assisted in finding others their forever homes and enjoyed every second of it. Her family described her as a dedicated worker that would do anything to provide for those she loved. She had many hobbies that filled her agenda such as gardening, working the yard, and truly just enjoying the outside air. She loved her family and all the wonderful memories they made in the many years spent together.

Although Erlene has departed from our lives, her memory and unique qualities will forever live on in those who are left to continue walking in the path of her absence.

Erlene is survived by her daughters, Cheryle Patterson, Kathy Kilpatrick, and Cherissa Sailor; grandchildren, Candee (Matt) Garrett, Shelly (Eric) Richey, Brian Kilpatrick, Patricia Chrestman, John Patterson, and Brett Sailor; and three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James H. Fulmer; her parents, George and Annie Peebles; her grandson, Scott Patterson; and her eight brothers and sisters.
