Ernest Harris

Mr. Ernest Dale Harris, age 77, passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at
Folkston Park Nursing Home in Folkston, Ga.

Mr. Harris was born on November 16th, 1943 in Glen St. Mary, FL to the late Marion and Maude
Harris.

Dale was a fun-loving and friendly man who always had a warm smile and a silly joke ready to make you laugh. He loved his family and lived life to its fullest as long as he could. As a young man, he could often be found working on classic cars/hot rods (the GTO was was his favorite), or water skiing. He, along with his then-wife Shelda, was one of the first members of Jacksonville's Classic Corvette Club. As much as he enjoyed doing these things, Dale was always first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Harris is survived by his daughter, Shanda (Ashley) Kowalczyk of Jacksonville,
FL; his sisters, Myra Henriott of Lyons, GA and Reba (Dee) McLean of Fernandina Beach, FL;
his sisters-in-law, Ruby Harris and Barbara Ann Harris; his grandchildren, CJ Allen of
Kingsland, GA, Jacob Rivera of Winter Springs, FL, Avery Madison Kowalczyk of Jacksonville,
FL; his great-grandchildren, Zoe and Brian; his former wife, Shelda Bruce of Kingsland, GA; and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Mr. Harris was also preceded in passing by his sisters, Doris Cleo Nedeau
and Faye (Tommie) Smith; his brothers, Lawrence Harris, Victor Harris, and Bernard Harris.

A graveside service for Mr. Harris was held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 at
Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga with Michael Smith presiding.
