Mrs. Eva Maria Leslie, age 77, of 246 Birdie Road Griffin, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 after a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Leslie was born on March 2, 1942 in Leipzig, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maria Fröhlich; sister, Lilo Hartung all of Germany; and daughter, Lynn Monsalvatge of Powder Springs, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Leslie of Griffin, GA; daughters, Stacy Leslie of Decatur, GA and Tina (Brent) Fowler of Meansville, GA; son-in-law, George Monsalvatge of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren,Laura (George) Dasovich, Caroline Monsalvatge and Robert and Elena Fowler; and sister, Gisela (Helmut) Lowe of Germany.
A memorial service for Mrs. Eva Maria Leslie will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Griffin, GA. The Rev. Dr. J. Wesley Smith will officiate. A reception will be held in the church parlor following the service.
It was Mrs. Leslie’s wish to be cremated and her remains will be interred at St. George’s.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Five Loaves Food Pantry 412 W. Slaton Ave. Griffin, GA 30223 in Mrs. Leslie’s name.
