Mrs. Florence Elaine Skipper , age 77 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away at her residence on Monday, December 26 th , 2016.
Mrs. Skipper was born on February 10 th , 1939 in Baltimore, Md. She is the daughter of the late Florence Caffasso & Benjamin Di Dominicis, Sr. On January 8 th , 1983, Mrs. Skipper married the love of her life, Ulysses “Grant” Skipper, Sr., which she adored him for over 33 years. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her loyalty and dedication always showed through the strong love she had for her family and friends. She set the foundation of the family tree. If anytime one fell off a branch, we knew she would be there to reach out and help us up again. Through all the generations, this family tree was possible, because of the foundation of love she laid. She truly enjoyed taking care of others, especially her grands and great-grands. She had a voice one could never forget and a heart that was bigger than the sky is made. No matter what, she couldn’t help but leave a mark in your heart to treasure forever. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Skipper is survived by her daughter, Nita Jackson of Kingsland, Ga.? her sons, James Michael Jackson of Kingsland, Ga., Skip Skipper & his wife, Laura of St. Johns, Fl., Flip Skipper & his wife, Dana, and Joey Skipper & his wife, Roxie, all of Kingsland, Ga.? her sisters, Mary & her husband, Don Ruszkieuiez, of Baltimore, Md., Helen & her husband Walt Anacarrow, of Delaware, Vt., and Angelina Welsh of Baltimore, Md.? her brother, Carl Di Dominicis & his wife, Linda of Baltimore, Md. ? her grandchildren, Liza Porter & her husband, Mike of Orange Park, Fl., Angela Clark of Kingsland, Ga., Dustin Jackson of Tampa, Fl., Tessa Talley & her husband, Paul, Jr. of Kingsland, Ga., Amber Reynolds & her husband, Trey of Yulee, Fl., Kelly Heartly & her husband, David of Kingsland, Ga., Jordan Skipper & her fiancé, Ben of Jacksonville, Fl., Ashley Groover & her husband, Josh of Kingsland, Ga., Ariel Grooms & her husband, Terrance of Kingsland, Ga., Hope Riley & her husband, Charlie of Norfolk, Va. and Scott Ary and his wife, Joni of Perry, Ga.? her 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and numerous siblings, Mrs. Skipper joins her beloved husband, U. Grant Skipper, Sr. and her grandson, Neil Townsend in Heaven.
Calling hours for the Skipper family will be from 11-12:45 on Saturday, December 31 st , 2016 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 1PM with Pastor George Anderson presiding.
