Mrs. Gaynell Favors Andrews age 59, of Griffin passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Kindred Hospital of Atlanta.
Mrs. Andrews was born on June 16, 1953in Griffin, Georgia to the late Ben Favors Jr. and the Mimmiette Leaks Favors. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Andrews, grandchildren, Dominque, Robricas and LaRicky Andrews, brother, Benjamin E. Favors, sisters-in-law, Ann Favors, Diane Greene, and Sylvia Andrews, brothers-in-law, Lewis Andrews, Jimmy Tyus and Jesse Tuggle, Jr. Gaynell was a member of the Griffin High School Class of 1971 and was a member of Mt. Nebo Community Church. Mrs. Andrews was a former employee of Dundee Mills #2, Dundee Mills #5 and Fashion Industries.
Survivors include her children, Ricky Lee (Nycol) Andrews, Leeshana (Eddie) Copeland, Connie Burden and Tabitha Andrews; mother, Wylene Favors; grandchildren, Zaviyona Buffin, Saniya Copeland, Zavius Buffin, Dontrell Mangham; siblings, Carsandra Favors, Dianne Favors (Charles) Stroud, Bruce Favors, Celestine Favors (George Smith), Teresa Favors Curtis, Deprecious Favors (Kenny) Palmore; sisters-in-law, Helen Andrews, Celestine (Jimmy Lee) Tuggle, Emma Gene Scott, Lillian Andrews, all of Griffin, Annie Ruth Tyus of Atlanta, , Ada Tuggle, Gwendolyn Favors of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Eugene Andrews, God daughter, Shawan Blackmon and best friends , Patricia Reid and Don Hood.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gaynell Favors Andrews will be conducted Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Towaliga County Line Baptist Church, 153 Short Road, Jackson, GA. 30233. Reverend J.B. Curtis will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
