Gerald “Butch” Darling, Jr. , age 75 of Chateau Circle in St. Marys, Ga. passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his residence after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Darling was born on August 8, 1939 in New York City, NY. He is the son of the late Pearl M. Schindler & John Darling, Jr. Mr. Darling was a veteran of the US Army and later was well known in Camden County as an auto technician specializing in body repair. His talents and friendly demeanor will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Mr. Darling is survived by his daughter, Tamara Adams of St. Marys, Ga.; his son Robert Darling of Ga. his sisters, Leta M. Campney of Oneida, NY, Theresa Smith of Jacksonville, Fl. & Geraldine Clark of Rome, NY; his brothers, Norman Darling & Rev. Richard Darling, Cleveland, NY; and his grandchildren, Landon Brown, Hayden Rhone, Jailen Brown, Rilan Brown & Kaydon Brown.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Temple Baptist Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
The family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help retire the amount owed.
