Girard Leaks

On April 28, 2014, God saw fit to call a good soldier home. He fought a good fight and ran a good race, but passed after fighting sickle cell since birth.

Mr. Girard Lamar Leaks was born August 18, 1981 to the late George Leaks and Helen Leaks. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Tona Boggs and niece, Yukia Willis. Girard attended Griffin High School and received his diploma in 1999. At an early age, Girard joined Antioch Baptist Church. He joined the BBC under the leadership of Steven Driver.

Girard leaves behind a beloved mother, Helen Leaks; lovely sisters, Tamara (Derrick) Thompson; Virginia Coleman, Demetris Allen, Kesi Berry, Jolanda Berry; brothers, Charlie Coleman, Johnny Orr, Jason Foster, Armond Allen, Johnny Allen, III; sweet angel, Malik Verdell; two nephews, Dantavious White and Tico Willis.

Funeral services for Mr. Girard Lamar Leaks will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 12 noon at 8th St. Baptist Church. Pastor Steven Driver will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Leaks will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
