Glen Mahan

On December 27, 2017, Glen Edward “Eddie” Mahan completed his cycle on Earth in the loving care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.  Eddie was born April 5, 1937, to Woodson Julian Mahan and Mildred Edwards Mahan in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis and attended Perdue University.  In 1966, he married Gloria Jean Gill and became the much-loved stepfather of Gail Annette Gill Swiggum and Carey Eugene Gill.  He was the ever-so-special father-in-law of Susan Mott Gill (Carey), the Grandaddy of Johanna Swiggum Rogers, Kirsten Swiggum, Jonathan Gill, and Sara Gill Young (Danny); Great Grandaddy of Aidan Barber, Reagan Rogers, Kallisti Muse, and Blake and Bailey Grace Young.  He is also survived by his sister, Mary Helen Mahan Jackson (Robert) of Anderson, Indiana, nephews Troy and Robert Scott Jackson, and Scott’s twin sister, Tamara Jackson Nicolosi (Michael), and numerous grandnieces and nephews.  For many years, Eddie was very well known and respected throughout the paper industry.  He and Jean saw a lot of the world in their travels and made many dear friends along the way.  Eddie always had a smile that won many a heart.  Go rest high upon that mountain, Eddie…
