Mr. Gordon Lee Flynn age 86, of Forest Park, passed away on October 31, 2013 at Southern Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Flynn was born in Atlanta, GA on September 12, 1927 to the late Thomas Flynn and the late Mattie Gussy Bledsole Flynn. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Mason Flynn, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He was Veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country during WWII. Mr. Flynn was also a member of the East Point VFW and employed as a manager with United Parking Systems.
Mr. Flynn is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Danny Shortt and Tommie Lee James of Stockbridge, Annette and Scott Trammell of Jonesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Marsha Campbell Flynn of Forest Park; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Viola Flynn of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Gordon Flynn will be conducted on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Forest Park. Reverend Terry Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family at the church from noon until the service hour.
