Mrs. Grace McGuffey Head, age 96 of Griffin passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Mrs. Head was born on December 12, 1916 in Griffin, GA to the late John William McGuffey and the late Hattie Lowrey McGuffey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Otis Head; grandson, Dustin Larry Head; and great-granddaughter, Candace Leigh Jester.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Coates (Wandell); son, Larry Head (Debra); grandchildren, Donna Coates Goodman (Mark), Michael Coates (Tammy), Kerry Coates (Tawni), Brandon Head (Heather); great-grandchildren, Brandi Kilchriss (Brad), Lyndi Rentz, Sean Coates, Emily Dawn Coates, Courtney Coates, Hailey Coates, Kyle Coates, Quaid Coates, Austyn Coates, Madison Head, McKenzie Head, Michael Head; great-great-grandchildren, Candace Taylor Chambley, Lane Chambley, Gracie Kilchriss, Jordan Jester, Katelyn Rentz; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Grace McGuffey Head will be conducted on September 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Center Point Church. Reverend Tracy Stone will officiate. Interment will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
