Gretchen Miller

November 14, 1926 — October 24, 2023

Ms. Gretchen Meier Miller, age 96 of Woodbine, Ga., passed away on the morning of Tuesday, October 24 ^th , 2023 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.

Ms. Miller was born on November 14 ^th , 1926 in Nuremberg, Germany to the late Kaethe Meier.

Gretchen enjoyed entertaining, traveling, ocean cruises, and spending time with friends. She had many talents including cooking, baking, and cross stitching. She made many beautiful pieces. Her family always looked forward to sampling the various Christmas cookies and stollen cake she baked every year. She loved watching the birds at the feeder and looking at the colorful flowers. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Miller is survived by her nieces Karin Fleischman and Ingeborg Sasser and nephew, Werner Hund, all of Germany; along with her nieces, Elaine (Clifton) Roberson, Charlotte (Gary) Thigpen, Gail (Kevin) Hansel, Sheila Wainwright, and Robbyn (Wade) Thrift; and nephew, Mark Miller.

Besides her parents, Ms. Miller was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Miller and her brother, Karl Hund.

A visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am Saturday, October 28 ^th , 2023 at Woodbine Methodist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am in the church with Pastor James Roberson and Clifton Roberson presiding. Interment will follow at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. Pallbearers will be Clifton Roberson, J C Roberson, Mark Miller, Jeffrey Whitley, Dane Whitley, Ryder Whitley, Trenton Davis, Kevin Hansel, Thomas Thigpen.
