Gurney Harrell

Mr. Gurney Woodrow Harrell, III, age 46 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away from unexpected heart complications at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl. on Wednesday, January 9 th , 2019.                                                                                                                                          ?? Mr. Harrell was born on January 24 th , 1972 in Norfolk, Va. He is the son of Woody Harrell and Alice Fay Merrill Hurley. His family said of him ”Gurney was an incredible person, son, brother, husband, stepfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was a great guy to be around. Gurney was funny, kind, gentle and loving. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. Those who were a part of his life will be forever saddened by his loss.”



Mr. Harrell is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Janet Harrell; his daughter, Angela Gillis of Boston, Ma.; his sisters, Jennifer & Pete Koerner of Saint Marys, Ga., Tiffany Hurley of Kingsland, Ga. and Cathy Riddlemoser of Grove City, Oh.; his brothers, Nathan Hurley of Kingsland, Ga. and Steven & Angela Hurley of Rocky Mt., Va.; his grandchildren Emma, Jaiden & Donovan Gillis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.



?Mr. Harrell joins his stepfather, Tom Hurley in Heaven.



?A family celebration of Mr. Harrell’s life will be held from 2 until 5 PM on Sunday, January 27 th , 2019 at the second Pavilion in Crooked River State Park in Saint Marys, Ga.
