Mrs. Gwendolya L. Fink , age 88 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away in the late evening hours of Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at UF Health/Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl.
?Mrs. Fink was born on November 3rd, 1929 in Hopedale, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Carl John Norris & Myrtle Marie McCormick Norris. Her family said of her, “Gwen was an avid crafter. She loved her work in basket making- all mediums, felting, beading, sewing, stained glass work, wood carving, gourd work, quilting, oil & acrylics painting, ceramics and a whole host of other craft venues. She also loved to travel. From places such as Florida, the North East to Alaska and the Artic in Barrow, also Hawaii and Australia. She loved to just get in her car and drive.”
Mrs. Fink is survived by her sons, Carl William Akers of Kingsland, Ga., and Charles Wayne Fink & his wife, Vickie of Imperial Beach, Ca.; her brother, Delbert Norris & his wife, Helen of Murfreesboro, Tn.; her sister, Elizabeth Halstead & her husband, Robert of St. Albans, WV. She has 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Fink, joins her husband, Charles L. Fink and her sons, Stephen R. Fink and Robert R. Fink in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday April 12th, 2018 at Hidden Treasures Assembly of God located at 433 West King Avenue in Kingsland, Ga. Mrs. Fink will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
