Harold Hodge

Mr. Harold T. Hodge , age 77 of Clarks Bluff Road in Kingsland, Ga. passed away in the late morning hours of Monday, March 26 th , 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga.
Mr. Hodge was born on October 24 th , 1940 in Eastman, Ga. to the late Jack and Maude Hodge.
His family said of him, “Harold was a hard worker, anything he decided he wanted to do, he would learn how to do it and he would do it well. He had a great sense of humor and a natural wit. He could find common ground to talk to anyone. He was large in stature, sometimes coming across gruff, but he had a big heart. He silently helped a lot of people as he went through life, always giving, helping his fellowman. He liked nothing better than to take family members across country, Canada, Europe, and Alaska to name a few, showing them the sights.” Along with his family and friends, he will especially be missed by Shirley Young, Ida Thrift, and Debbie Peeples.
Mr. Hodge is survived by Ida Thrift of Kingsland, Ga.; his daughters, Kelly Hodge and Cindy Hodge, both of Lancaster, Ca,. Bonnie Hodge of Albuquerque, Nm., and Christine Hodge-Delgato of Kernville, Ca.; his sons, John (Sandy) Hodge of Dothan, Al. and Joe (Linda) Hodge of Lancaster, Ca.; his sisters, Bernadette Moon of Blairsville, Ga. and Betty (Paul) Probes of Snellville, Ga.; and his grandchildren, Robert Hanna, Amanda Chickman, Ashley Chickman, Dalton Jensen, Jackie Hodge, Theresa Anaya, Olivia Delgado, Victor Fragoza, Desiree Fragoza, Dana Fragoza, Anna James, Abby Sparkman, and John David Hodge; and his great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Mr. Hodge was also predeceased by his brothers, Cecil Hodge and Harold M. Hodge, and his brother in law, Kenneth Moon.
Funeral services for Mr. Hodge will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 31 st , 2018 at Ruhamah Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Brown presiding. Interment will follow at Oakwell Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. Pallbearers will be Bryan Sapp, Brian Strickland, Jamie Hodge, Pete Mercer, Coleman Groover, and Daniel Sparkman.
